Q1. What is cold pressed White Sesame Oil?
Answer: Also known as 'til ka tel' in Hindi, when white Sesame seeds are hand-selected by artisans and crushed using the traditional ancient crushers, it is a 'cold pressed' white Sesame oil. Due to this technique, there is no extraction of oil without the use of heat, which in turn, preserves its natural nutritional content.
Q2. What is the difference between white and black Sesame oil?
Answer: Black and white Sesame seeds are just two different seeds from the same family and hence, have very few differences. While white Sesame seeds are soft, white and sweet, black Sesame seeds are crunchy. nutty and has a strong flavour. Oils extracted from these seeds and therefore, have slightly different smoking points. So, while white Sesame oil may be used for deep frying, black Sesame oil may be used to stir-fry stuff like vegetables. These are general notions but people may use it per their taste palate.
