Answer: A 'cold-pressed Groundnut Oil' is an oil produced from raw groundnuts (moongphali) using a traditional wood pressing process called a 'kohlu.' It has a nutty aroma and flavour that is comparable to that of nuts.

What is the smoking point for cold-pressed groundnut oil? Its smoke point is about 160 degrees Celsius. Industrially refined groundnut oil has a smoke point of 210 degrees Celsius.

The peanuts are put in a hole in the centre of the kohlu, which houses a revolving screw. The revolving screw fully smashes the groundnuts until the oil is removed and collected in a container attached to it.
